HOW EBIZON HELPS EMBARQ INDIA EDUCATE 1000S OF PEOPLE ACROSS THE COUNTRY

ABOUT

World Resources Institute (WRI) signature initiative for sustainable Transport and Urban Development, EMBARQ, strives hard through its Global Network — to make Safe, Environment-friendly and Accommodating Transport a reality.

Their Indian Unit, EMBARQ India was looking to setup a Platform (a Knowledge Hub, as they put it) that could reach out to and educate millions of people across India.

The Hub was created to inspire and educate people and to show them the how-tos of building and nurturing  livable cities for India’s increasingly urban population.  Taming the Transportmenace took the center-stage here.

MAJOR CHALLENGES

It was clear from the go, that we were looking at a full-blown University kind of project — it wasn’t a blog or a passionate niche site that this client sought.  So, if there was something that you would expect to cover in an Online Transport University, this System had to absolutely deliver that.

Yes, we were required to build a Knowledge Sharing Platform (the crux) – but it wasn’t restricted to being that – there were a host of other Capabilities to develop:

●     Hosting training Modules and Toolkits

●     Holding Workshops, Events and More

●     Delivering Tutorial Videos

●     Running Awareness / Promotional Campaigns

●     Managing huge Email Lists and Discussion Forums

THE ANALYSIS

It made sense to begin with the underlying Knowledge Repository. Once this was set, we could begin building the System ground up — quickly ticking all the client’s boxes.

THE DEVELOPMENT

As established in the Analysis phase, we started with developing the basic engine – the Knowledge Sharing Platform. We later developed a Function that made the Events and Workshop feature possible. This function powers the Online and In-person Training Sessions for the client.

Over the coming months, we’ll go live with some more advanced capabilities of the system like Peer Networking, Crowdsourcing and more.

THE RESULT

Today, The Hub runs a robust knowledge sharing solution that helps it contribute its share in making better transportation possible.
